Why is water so important?

About 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water. It is one of the most important substances on the planet, and all living creatures depend on this for basic survival.   We humans and other living creatures need water for our bodies to function normally. Did you know that about 60 to 70 per cent of the human body is water? This substance can benefit us in many ways, such as regulating body temperature, aiding digestion, helping in maintaining blood pressure, prevent dehydration, and much more. Being dehydrated can cause us to feel exhausted and can also worsen our moods. Animals on the other hand, also need water. Like humans, they also need water to help regulate their body temperature, to prevent their body from overheating and to aid digestion.
